LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) là hỗn hợp các khí dễ cháy, chủ yếu gồm propane (C₃H₈) và butane (C₄H₁₀), được lọc từ dầu thô hoặc khí tự nhiên. LPG được nén hoá lỏng ở áp suất cao để dễ dàng lưu trữ và vận chuyển.
CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) là khí tự nhiên nén, chủ yếu là methane (CH₄), được nén ở áp suất cao (200-250 bar) để giảm thể tích khoảng 1/300 so với trạng thái khí thông thường.
LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) là khí tự nhiên (chủ yếu là methane) được hóa lỏng ở nhiệt độ khoảng -162°C để giảm thể tích, giúp dễ dàng lưu trữ và vận chuyển. LNG không màu, không mùi, không độc hại, và không ăn mòn.
